Hi Helen,

What is the exact problem you are experiencing?

Are you referring to system log entries like this:

**********

Source: TermService

Event ID: 1041

Type: Error

Description:

Autoreconnect failed to reconnect user to session because

authentication failed. (0x0)

**********

If yes, these entries typically occur when the original session

has ended and therefore reconnect is not possible. Let me

illustrate what happens with a step-by-step example:

1. User connects to TS with autoreconnect enabled (it is by default)

2. User minimizes the Remote Desktop Client

3. A connectivity problem occurs between the TS and the user's PC.

As a result, the TS transitions the user's session to a Disconnected state.

4. The TS is set to end disconnected sessions after a certain time period,

say, 15 minutes. As a result, the user's session is ended after 15 min.

5. The user clicks on the Remote Desktop Client in the tasbar to restore

it and continue working. The client realizes that it is no longer connected

and attempts to reconnect. The reconnect fails and the 1041 entry is

logged on the TS.

Thanks.
