IE/Firefox not connecting but can ping sites

Hi, I am unable to browse to any webpage in IE or Firefox. This started yesterday, I have a connection, skype, outlook are connected and working and I can see other computers on our network.

I have tried disabling firewalls but still not working.

It is the same whether I am connected by wireless, or by ethernet cable. Other computers connected to the same router are ok

I'm running Windows 7

Start > type in ........cmd (do not hit ENTER )

Now CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER

(you are now using an elevated command prompt)

 

At the prompt type in

netsh winsock reset catalog

Hit ENTER

Then type in

netsh int ip reset reset.log

Hit ENTER
