Guest Chris Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Hello all, I'd like to monitor traffic flowing through my server 2003 server, and if possible be more specific i.e. something came in on Port 80 and was accessing http://www.domain.co.uk It's so I can see what traffic is more commonly seen, where it's going, etc and be able to display it in a nice graph, or chart, etc. also, would the same software be able to monitor an external NIC from a remote location to see what traffic is going through that as well as the server NIC? i.e. if I have a load balanced setup I'd like to see what is coming into the router as well as what is coming into each server. Does anyone know of anything? Thanks all Chris

Guest Chris Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 RE: Packet/Traffic Analysis Sudhi, I'm afraid this doesnt do what I want. It needs to monitor a network interface or IP and see what traffic is going through it and report on what protocols are being used / and report them as a % of the total throughput. any further ideas please? Thanks Chris "sudhi_shrivatsa" wrote: > try Langaurd Netwokork Scanner from > > http://www.gfi.com/lannetscan/ > > It might be usefull to you. > > Sudhi... > > "Chris" wrote: > > > Hello all, > > > > I'd like to monitor traffic flowing through my server 2003 server, and if > > possible be more specific i.e. something came in on Port 80 and was accessing > > http://www.domain.co.uk > > > > It's so I can see what traffic is more commonly seen, where it's going, etc > > and be able to display it in a nice graph, or chart, etc. > > also, would the same software be able to monitor an external NIC from a > > remote location to see what traffic is going through that as well as the > > server NIC? i.e. if I have a load balanced setup I'd like to see what is > > coming into the router as well as what is coming into each server. > > > > Does anyone know of anything? > > > > Thanks all > > > > Chris

Guest Chris Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 RE: Packet/Traffic Analysis Hi, These aren't the best options I'm afraid. I've had a look but they're not quite what I want. I want the software to list all the protocols that have been sent and all the ones that have been received in seperate tables/graphs. ....oh and if possible show the IIS website usage to see what each site has used in terms of bandwidth again. Thanks Chris "sudhi_shrivatsa" wrote: > Check these, > > http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Search/network_monitor.html > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/148942 > > Sudhi... > > "Chris" wrote: > > > Sudhi, > > > > I'm afraid this doesnt do what I want.
