Recovery Console doesn't use a boot sector (of a partition). It is

started by the OS loader loading the .dat file for the Recovery Console.

Look at the boot.ini file to see what is getting loaded when you select

to boot into the Recovery Console mode. When you get that menu, you

have already used the boot sector of that partition to load the loader

that then presents the menu.

So is your real question on how to remove the Recovery Console mode from

a boot-time menu? If so, read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555032.

Installing the Recovery Console mode does not modify a boot sector in a

partition. It adds an entry in boot.ini to load a .dat file *like* a

boot sector (because the original one for that partition remains intact

and has already been used to load the OS loader in that partition).

Or are you saying that you ran a command while running in Recovery

Console mode, like maybe 'fixmbr'?
