Guest bpotratz Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 My single biggest frustration with MS product is the inability of XP to keep minimized processes (particularly IE) minimized. If I have another application on top - say, Outlook - that its the application I want to see, I don't want another application that I sent to the task bar interrupting my work. I gave it a task to do and I want it to do it and wait for ME to check on it - not mop up and inerupt what I am doing. I thought that was what multitasking was all about. How do I keep minimized programs from reasserting themselves?

This has some effect.. there's an Undo tweak if you don't like the results. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Line 66. (r-h column) Prevent Programs from Stealing Focus - Undo -- Joe =o)
