Problems with Microsoft Office 2003

Hi everyone

 

My father has a problem with his microsoftt office 2003, he has a downloaded version of the microsoft office 2003 and has tried to uninstall it through the uninstall programme on the computer. Although it starts to uninstall it never completes and he gets a window coming up showing this error:

 

 

Installation Error: File not found

 

A required installation file skuoll

CAB could not be found.

 

Original Installation Source Required:

 

If you installed microsoft office professional Edition 2003 from a CD, please insert your CD. If you installed Microsoft Office 2003 over your computer network, please browse to the installation source on your network, once you have located your installation source click ok.

 

Your help would be much appreciated, not forgetting im a novice and need abc instructions, and thanks in advance.

Also forget to mention that in connection to the above thread my fathers computer is running with Windows XP

Go here http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/office-2003-resource-kit/office-removal-wizard-HA001140177.aspx download it and use this to uninstall Office.

 

You say you computer is running slow also....When complete download a small program called Ccleaner http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER and run this to clean up the registry and windows temp files... but remember to BACKUP when prompted ;-)

Although Ccleaner is good I would never advise using a registry cleaner including that aspect of Ccleaner.

Hi, i use REVO UNINSTALLER, its a free download and it gets rid of all the bits left by other means. Todate i've found it very good.
