please help my iq500 it wont start

would someone please help me with my hp touchsmart iq 500. It wont start when i start the computer the monitor flashes white and the start button on the side turns yellow after a while.

I have already replaced the hard drive thinking it might be that but still no luck can some one please advice me i don't want to throw this beauty away.

Ok firstly is it still under warranty? If so contact HP

 

Does this happen in Safemode too?

 

Now this does seem to be a common issue with the touchsmart IQ500... it has something to do with the power supply "connections" not sure what the full details are but I have seen this issue before.

 

For a tempary fix.... try holding down the power button in until it starts to show life in the screen you may have to do this a few times for it to work.

 

But my advice is to contact HP about your issue as I think this is a common fault they are aware of.
