H i

my system was wired initially and i had no problem getting on either xp or vista. At a later date i switched to wireless as i needed to move the pc,i was using a belkin wireless adapter for this but was unable to get on vista.I have tried to download the latest drivers for the adapter using xp and dowloading to a memory stick which was ok till i tried to put it on

vista nothing happened. After getting really fed up i decided go back to wired, no joy.

When i plug the ethernet cable into the router the light flashes and i get the message

cable unplugged. I made sure i had deactivated the wireless mode so it cant be that.

so at present i am stuck with the belkin which only allows me to get on xp.

I hope someone can help cheers les.

Ok for the F5D7051 Wireless G Plus USB Adapter latest drivers see here http://en-us-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3029/~/f5d7051-wireless-g-plus-usb-adapter---software-and-drivers

Now for your router have you tried to reset it by holding in the reset button for around 20 seconds while switched on and leave it for 5 minutes to regulate. you may need to find the ethernet controller driver too.

I hope I am understanding you here.... you have been using the wireless adaptor but now reverted back to the router??
