steven heal Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 operating system is windows xp pro on boot up i went into bios and changed ide read from hh0 to hdd1 shut the comp down after that had ntldr showing error but after turning the comp off several times its gone to the motherboard screen saying press tab for post and alt+f2 for awdexe flash now press the del button the keyboard blocks off so cleared cmos so it recognises the keyboard no probs there but cant get back nto bios to change it to read the right drive the memory test is fine its trying to read ide drives cant use disk drives because motherboard isnt reading them i havent a system boot disk either any help Quote
Jelly Bean Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Hello Steven.... Power off the computer,rempve from power outlet,open her up and touch poawer supply for a few seconds to eliminate static. Now remove BIOS battery and count 30,replace the battery,reboot the computer and see if that gets you back into windows.... Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
