Hi!

I've installed DHCP on our win2kr2 server's at our 11 branches.

For DR, I have a DHCP installed on a "DC" back in our corporate office.

IT has been fully configured for branch "backup" scope's that do not conflict.

I've enabled helper services on the routers at the branch.

Everything is great!!

I've tested the DR approach and it works!!

Awesome! Now it's time to put our corporate office on DHCP!!

Q: Can I use the same backup server as a primary active scope for the

corporate office? Basically dual purpose the server?

Q: Is there any draw backs in my plan to use a "DC" as a DHCP server? I

already had one issue to work through where by I had to add a membership

group to local admin because it was a DC.

Q: Should of I used a "member server instead?"
