Guest Candy Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Why do windows or tabs that I have open in my taskbar "disappear", and I have not (to my knowledge) closed them myself? What can I do to stop that? Candy

Guest Candy Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Re: Open Windows/Tabs Disappear From Taskbar Thanks, Kelly, but can you amplify a bit, please? What do I do with it when I download it? How will this fix my problem? Do I just click on something from one of the drop-down menus? Which one? "Show Missing Icons"? "Show Inactive Icons"? I do NOT have auto-hide or hide inacticve clicked on my properties. Outlook seems to be the only thing that disaappeared. Does that help you any in your advice? I have Windows XP and Mozilla Firefox is my main OS, although I have kept IE for those applications that refuse to use anything else. Guest Nepatsfan Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Re: Open Windows/Tabs Disappear From Taskbar If Outlook is the only program that is not being displayed on the Taskbar you can try the following. Right click on the Outlook icon in the Notification area (next to the clock). In the menu that pops up, is there a check mark next to "Hide when minimized"? If so, click on this entry to remove the checkmark. If that doesn't fix the problem, run Kelly's Taskbar Repair Tool Plus and under Taskbar Problems click on Minimized Programs Missing. Click on the Repair button. Hopefully, that will restore the missing programs on your taskbar.
