Guest RD Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 In brief in would like to install a educational volume license version of XP PRO over top of XP Home OEM version. Can this be done without having to reformat and reinstall? I installed the latter by mistake and now need to correct the installation license. In case someone is wondering I own both copies. RD

If "upgrade" is available, you can do this. If it isn't, you will be best off by doing a clean install, starting with at least a format. You would also get a message saying that you can't do an upgrade. HTH -pk
