Hi,

I try to repair my laptop by Cd (windows xp professional). but after

coppying files the windows reboot. However, after the windows screen

appears for a while, It starts to reboot again.

I try Safe mode, and all good configuration but it happens the same. i do

not want to reinstall the OS again.

I also try to fix and repair chskdsk but it still is in vain.

Is there any idea to get it work? Thank you very much.

I'm sorry that you don't want to reinstall Windows but I suspect that is

exactly what you will need to do. Since you've told us nothing about your

computer except that it is a laptop and presumably had an issue that caused

you to attempt a Repair Install, that's as specific as I can get.

1. Do hardware tests to make sure it is all sound. If anything fails a

physical test - such as the hard drive - replace it.

2. Pull off data if you neglected to back it up. Let me know if you need

details.

3. Do a clean install of Windows.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I think the hard disk has no problem. I think the

boot file is corrupted. The reason I repaired my OS is that I did try to

install SP3 but it failed and says that it installed partially. I decide to

repair it and install it again then the rebooting process happened.

I hope there is a way to get it work again. Thanks
