Screen keeps flickering? Can anyone Help?

Hope someone can help me. My Screen has been flickering for the last week and

its driving me insane! It looks like lots of lines flickering. I have

refreshed the screen rate and that helped a little but then it just went back

to flickering. I have checked the cables and they are fine. I tried the

monitor on a different computer and it flickered on that also. Does anyone

know what my problem is and how I can fix this. I also tried to restore my

computer and it kept saying it was unable to do so. Thanking you in advance.

That is your largest clue. If the monitor behaves the same way - badly -

on two systems, it has nothing to do with the systems.

 

The monitor hardware is failing, and this can't be fixed in software.

Your problem is that your monitor is failing.

These days, it's often cheaper to replace monitors than repair them.

System restore won't have anything to do with this monitor problem.

 

But, try booting into Safe Mode and running System Restore from there.

If the monitor does the same thing on different systems then the problem is

the monitor.
