Guest Moonbarker Osbourne Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 For a few days now, when I go to shut my comp down after it's been on for a few hours, I see this "shutting down" window that end up looking like what you see in the photo seen below that I took with my camera. I tried doing a start/search/for files or folders/all files and folders for app.b and the only two files found were hlabapp.box and abapp.box in C:\Program Files\AIM6\services\addressBookApp\ver1_1_14_1\content What can I do to fix things so I don't keep getting this at shutdown? http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj216/Moonbarker/P1040246.jpg

You tried to shutdown windows and you got this message "This program is not responding ............." end task.. and you end task and it shuts down.. Fine, but you don't want that message. That message is quite important for finding a solution Though I guess I ran into it while browsing Kelly's table. Try this. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm line 76, right hand column. Auto End Tasks to Enable a Proper Shutdown - Undo she offers 2 reg files. shutdown.reg and shutdownundo.reg also mentioned here http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/tweaks_and_tips_from_kelly.htm Auto End Tasks to Enable a Proper Shutdown You could of course reinstall (uninstall and install) the program whose directory is AIM6 , is it AOL Instant Messenger?
