Guest gaudonville Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I'm trying to help out a friend with their computer running XP. When I go to Windows Update it, as usual, attempts to determine the update level and asks to run ActiveX. I click "Run activeX" on the information bar but it seems that either ActiveX is not installed or it's become corrupted in some way. Is it possible to dowload ActiveX and reinstall it? or is there another solution as, at the moment the update page is just taking me round in circles. Thanks
