Quick scan in windows 11 S mode/ cloud delivered protection and automatic sample submission.

I hope someone out there can put my mind at rest. I have a 6 months' old Asus laptop. I have downloaded successfully Windows 11 S mode. However, too often I am asked to run a quick virus and protection scan, which takes forever. I always manually check Windows update. Is my laptop at risk if I browse the Internet safely by doing for example online banking even though I am told that Windows needs a scan?Secondly, in my protection options, the Cloud delivered protection and the automatic sample submission are both turned on but there is a yellow warning triangle saying that they are off.
