windows xp stop error after failed printer installation

i bought an hp laserjet 2840 and when i was installing it, the

installation failed, and generated a windows stop error 0x0D1

 

when i restarted, the installer recognized the failure, and uninstalled

what it had done. i now get windows stop errors ever 30 minutes or so,

and i cannot uninstall the printer, as it is no longer installed.

 

HELP!!!!!!!!!! i run my business from this computer, and this has

completely stopped my ability to work

they directed me to the microsoft site, but i had already downloaded the

hotfix before HP support directed me there.

 

i think the hotfix from ms fixed it, we shall see

Try System restore.

i restored it to before the printer installation, but then it crashed

with the same error once it came back up after the restore was

completed.
