Guest falcios Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 When I view folders through windows explorer it displays as a list. This is the default I have set. When I try to do a save or a save as the folders display as thumbnails. How can I set it so the folders are set to the list view in any window? Thanks.
Guest ju.c Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Re: Folders view: how to set default I have mastered using this program: Folder View Master (no homepage anymore) http://mysite.verizon.net/res18hr7/FVM3.zip or http://members.home.nl/alsdewiedeweerga/Scripts/FVM3/FVM3.rar Just follow its directions. If you want to master folder views too, just ask. ju.c "falcios" <falcios@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D4CAC686-F33A-46AE-AD42-DB4B60549B97@microsoft.com... > When I view folders through windows explorer it displays as a list. > This is > the default I have set. Open a folder and have it set exactly as you like. From the menu at the top click Tools>Folder Options. Click on the View tab. Adjust anything you like there and then click the button at the top that says "apply to all folder". Apply/OK out. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! Guest ju.c Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Re: Folders view: how to set default I've asked this question a lot lately. How is it possible to be so dumb, Malke? It is well documented (Google Groups) that I accept correction gracefully when I am wrong. It is unfortunate that you felt you needed to resort to an ad hominem attack instead of pointing out my mistake, but I can understand that your feelings were greatly hurt by my mistaking your posting those links in more than one thread as possible spam. I was completely at fault for not checking out the links first and so I offer you a most abject apology. As for my stupidity, I can only say that I'm sorry for it also. You can avoid reading my stupid posts easily but I won't insult your intelligence by pointing out how. Again, I apologize for mistaking your intent and hurting your feelings. You needn't respond; I certainly understand how one would be reluctant to engage in discourse with such a stupid person as myself. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
