Guest Ole Weigelt Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Hi everybody, I have a 2008 environment. Now, our WTS crashed and I restored a backup made in May (which is no problem since we have pretty stable program releases). But when I try to log on, I get the message : An authentication error occurred: 0x80090304 What can that be? If I do not get over this problem, all my backups are for nothing. Any idea? Thanks a lot Ole

If it is an A/D domain, it may be that it is unable to communicate with the domain controller. Are you trying to logon to the console or an RDP session? If RDP session, try to logon directly to the console and see if you can get into the Event Viewer. moncho
Guest Ole Weigelt Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Re: Urgent Problem: Authentication Error You made my day! It was failing communication with the AD server. Re-entring the domain was the key. Thank you for your help!!
