Guest Richh Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Hello, Having worked fine until today, I can no longer change any files in any of the shared folders on my network. I can view the contents of the shared folder, but cannot add or remove any files. I checked the attributes of the shared folders and they are set to read-only. However, I cannot untick this. ANy suggestions? I am using XP on all computers, with OneCare
Guest Ron Badour Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Re: Shared folders on network have become read-only Since everything was OK yesterday, I would try a system restore. If you don't know how, there are instructions in the Help file. -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP Shell User "Richh" <spam@spam.com> wrote in message news:48789186$0$929$ba4acef3@news.orange.fr... > Hello, > > Having worked fine until today, I can no longer change any files in any of > the shared folders on my network. Guest Alison Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 RE: Shared folders on network have become read-only I too have had this problem and it is driving me nuts. I tried a system restrore and that hasn't worked either. I don't know if this is the reason but i had just tried unsuccessfully to install Service pack 3. I'm having to reconstruct all my Sarhed folder files somewhere else at the moment.
