Windows repeatedly tries to upgrade

Recommended Posts

Running the installation disk yields the message:

Windows has already attempted to upgrade the following

Windows installation:

E:\Windows "A , , , Z"

Setup will try to complete the upgrade again

* To retry upgrading to Windows XP, press Enter.

* To quit Setup press F3.

Note that there is no way offered for doing anything else. Indeed pressing

F3 and restarting the installation disk yields the same thing.

Any help would be appreciated!

Don

Please provide some background on what you are trying to do. Is this an

installation to a clean drive, a repair installation, attempting to upgrade

some other system or ???????
