I have installed Norton Internet Security 2008 last week and now every time I

run Disk Defrag it indicates that not all file could be defragmented. Why and

how do I fix it? Thanks

Re: Disk Defrag & NIS 2008

problems with NastyIdioticSoftware would be better asked at Symantec.

Do yourself a very large favour, uninstall NortonBloatware and replace it

with something that works.

Start with dumping Norton.

My last stable Norton product was 2003. From then on, bloatware.

Re: Disk Defrag & NIS 2008

NIS is probably set to protect its own files, and won't allow your defragger

to move them.. I don't have NIS but NAV 2008, and there is an option to

uncheck that. If you can find the same optionin NIS try rthat, see if its

files can now be moved in defrag.

Hello Jean

Thanks for your reply. Where is the option in NAV? I was not able to find it

in NIS.

Re: Disk Defrag & NIS 2008

In NAV 2008, it is in Borton Antivirus tab, Settings/Norton Antivirus

options/ General settings 'turn on protection for Norton Products': uncheck

that box., click apply.
