Framework.Net

I was cleaniing up my hard disk and deleted Frameworks.Net. Now my windows

update won't install the update for it. I am guessing that I can install a

version of it from the Microsoft website. If so, does it matter which one.

I saw 1.1, 2.5, 3.5. I assume that once I have a version there, the Windows

update will have somewhere to go.

Also I have hpcmpmgr on the computer and Overland along with it. I don't

have any HP printers anymore. Can I get rid of this or does it not matter

What about MSN6. Is it safe?

Re: Framework.Net

The versions of ,NET framework run side by side. Which one(s) you need

depends on the version an app using .NET framework was coded for. Older ones

may need 1.1, latest ones probably 3.5. Many users have all three installed

(1.1, 2 and 3.5) to cover all bases.

Re: Framework.Net

So I should reinstall 1.1 at the very least

I'm not Jean, but in my view, you should either install them all (so

you have them ready for any program that needs them) or none (in that

case, you would need to install a particular one when you try to run a

program that needs it). Installing just 1.1 makes no sense to me.
