Guest Kas Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 My taskbar is now displaying vertically at the side of the screen instead of horizontally at the bottom. I cannot imagine what I did to cause this but I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can get it back to horizontal Kas

Once there, right-click the Taskbar, click "Lock the Taskbar". -- Joe =o)
Guest Ron Badour Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Re: Taskbar position Left click in the clock area and move the cursor to the bottom of the screen. Release and right click to lock the taskbar so it doesn't get accidentally moved again. -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP Shell User "Kas" <Kas@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:41C36B17-1ED9-4BE9-8ED5-66E3CBD4558E@microsoft.com... > My taskbar is now displaying vertically at the side of the screen instead > of > horizontally at the bottom. To move it from any side to another, simply click on an unused part of it and drag it where you want it. Be sure to click *within* it, not on the edge; clicking on the edge and dragging will resize it. If it won't move, it may be locked. In that case, right click on it and uncheck "Lock the taskbar," then try again. The way it got to the side is that you accidentally dragged it there. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup
