Hello and welcome...

If you have not installed internet explorer 8 please do so.....

You need to fully update XP.....

Open Internet Explorer (only) to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com | Select CUSTOM and scan | Install any Critical Security Updates offered (e.g., KB982381). If a Root Certificates update is listed in the Optional Software updates category on the left-hand side of the scan results window, install it to take full advantage of IE8's enhanced security & to correct the problem.

NB: Automatic Updates offers Root Certificate updates to Vista & Win7

Hi.

I know this sounds strange but check to see if your date and time are correct on the computer.

That's great. I was hoping that would do it.

If the date and time goes wrong again, especially after a full shut down and reboot, the Cmos battery is in need of replacement.

If that is the case let us know and we can explain how to replace it.
