Frances Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Last 3 days started getting Security Alert re. Certificate not valid etc. This is happening every few minutes, how do I get rid? Quote
Jelly Bean Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Hello and welcome... If you have not installed internet explorer 8 please do so..... You need to fully update XP..... Open Internet Explorer (only) to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com | Select CUSTOM and scan | Install any Critical Security Updates offered (e.g., KB982381). If a Root Certificates update is listed in the Optional Software updates category on the left-hand side of the scan results window, install it to take full advantage of IE8's enhanced security & to correct the problem. NB: Automatic Updates offers Root Certificate updates to Vista & Win7 Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................

Plastic Nev Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 If the date and time goes wrong again, especially after a full shut down and reboot, the Cmos battery is in need of replacement. If that is the case let us know and we can explain how to replace it. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here.
