Is the MS WORD 2002 that is part of MS Works Suite 2006 legal for commercial

use? I have read and reread everything I could on it in the last couple days

and it seems clear that it is legal for commercial use. I would like some

other people's comments. Thanks.

Only some "Free" programs have restrictions on commercial use.

MS Works can be used in commercial applications. You paid for the license.

Re: word 2002 for commercial use

"Student" and related versions of MS software (which are NOT free) may not

be used for commercial purposes. Any version of Office obtained with an MSDN

subscription may not be used for commercial purposes (actually, no software

obtained via MSDN may be used for commercial purposes except the software

development tools themselves.) And I'm sure there are a couple of cases I

missed.

AFAIK, it's OK for commercial use. But you might want try asking in the

Works group:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.works.win&cat=en_us_9804e2ac-c762-44c9-9c6f-90e45f32d772&lang=en&cr=us

TinyURL = http://tinyurl.com/4phlmv

If nothing else, someone there probably has a copy of the license you can

peruse.

Why ask HERE? Do you see Office or WORD in this group's title? NO.

Ask elsewhere
