Hey, I'm pretty new to the whole 'building a gaming rig' scene and I just picked out parts from all over the internet from different websites such as Amazon.co.uk and Aria.co.uk, however because I'm new I just need help figuring out whether;

1- I have chosen a good set of parts that are compatible

2- If I have missed any parts

3- IF THEY ARE WORTHTHE PRICE?

Here is a list of specs I compiled with the site name and price next to them

66.24- case: Coolermaster HAF 922 Gaming Midi Tower Case - Overstock.com

44.80- dvd drive: Samsung SH-B123L/BSBP 12x BluRay ROM / 16x DVD±RW Lightscribe SATA-II Optical Drive - Black (OEM) - Aria.co.uk

77.80- motherboard: Asus M5A88-M AMD 880 (Socket AM3) DDR3 PCI-Express Motherboard - Aria.co.uk

122.48- processor: AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 980 Black Edition 125W 3.70GHz (Socket AM3) - Amazon.co.uk

44.04- memory (ram sticks): 8GB Corsair XMS3 (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit - Aria.co.uk

41.99- hard disk drive: 500GB Western Digital Caviar Black WD5002AALX 3.5" SATA III Hard Drive - Aria.co.uk

83.70- power supply: 750W Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750M High Performance Power Supply - Amazon.co.uk

139.75- graphics card: Asus GeForce GTX 560 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - Aria.co.uk

101.10- Windows 7 64bit: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit - Aria.co.uk

Total price of parts= £721.90

I would really appreciate all advice from PC pro's on how good these are and whether they are worth a costly £721 GBP (Btw I'm from the UK :D)

Thanks!

I'm not up to date on graphics cards but all the prices look good to me.

Your video card is an excellent choice for the money.

See here:

A bit cheaper here:

Your m/board supports up to 16GB RAM so, if necessary, you could upgrade in the future.

Corsair is a good choice of RAM and PSU.

Your CPU - how are you cooling it ?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

Specs out nicely however you may like to keep in mind that video card in its x16 slot is going to essentially leave you with 1 standard pci slot for expansion/addons as it will use two slot spaces. you may also like to consider a radeon hd series card that will run cooler then an nvidia, didnt look into your power supply much but you could probaly run that system nicely on about 650 watts so 750 should fit the bill nicely just be sure its 80 plus bronze certified has suffucient molex connectors and ideally single +12V rail design keep in mind a good quality power supply already affords you a reasonable amount of overcurrent protection, and have some noise filtering.
