Guest Alan Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Using my Giganews account I just replied to a post made by Gary Terhune in the thread entitled "open ", "Save", or "Save As" dialog box defaults that was started by a poster named krazykat. It has already shown up in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general in the Comcast and Giganews servers, and it is already on Google groups at http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/browse_frm/thread/6f0837ee2046ed2c/00027d07114c0d07#00027d07114c0d07 Is there any reason that it has not yet found its way onto the Microsoft servers, or is it being censored? Alan

The same thing has been happening occasionally to me, too, Alan. Most recently, the post in this thread: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/browse_frm/thread/85ff0a8e1a2eb01d/19a054533810efcd?hl=en&lnk=st&q=author%3Adaave#19a054533810efcd Also, see this one: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/browse_frm/thread/e28681705ecdcea4/ff9ec830cdca8c92?tvc=1#ff9ec830cdca8c92 Perhaps the filtering is too aggressive.
Guest Alan Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Re: Post filtering on Microsoft Servers Hi Daave, Well in my case, MVP Gary Terhune suggested that I'm an "Ignorant A** hole", but I guess I wasn't allowed to suggest that he might possibly be describing himself, and that he's a pompous one at that. That post of yours is in the MS news server. However, your original one with the profanity was indeed filtered.
