Guest Ant Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Hello. I am having problems with my XP SP2's explorer.exe v6.0.2900.3156 crashing with ntdll.dll v5.1.2600.2180. I am wondering if SP3 have newer versions of explorer.exe and ntdll.dll. Thank you in advance. :) -- "I killed an ant, now all my relatives are afraid of me." --unknown /\___/\ / /\ /\ \ Phil/Ant @ http://antfarm.home.dhs.org (Personal Web Site) | |o o| | Ant's Quality Foraged Links (AQFL): http://aqfl.net \ _ / Remove ANT from e-mail address: philpi@earthlink.netANT ( ) or ANTant@zimage.com Ant is currently not listening to any songs on his home computer.

Guest Ant Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Re: Does XP Pro. SP3 have newer ntdll.dll and explorer.exe? Thank you. I think I will jump to SP3 if I can't resolve my crash issues in SP2. That's much more likely to exacerbate the problems than to solve them. > On 7/14/2008 7:51 AM PT, yanqian typed: > > > They are newer: > > explorer.exe 6.00.2900.5512 > > ntdll.dll 5.1.2600.5512 > > > > "Ant" <philpi@earthlink.netANT> > > ??????:eXOEexb5IHA.2336@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > >> Hello. > >> > >> I am having problems with my XP SP2's explorer.exe v6.0.2900.3156 crashing > >> with ntdll.dll v5.1.2600.2180. I am planning to make a backup before I even attempt this just in case. Plus, this is a SP so a big upgrade. If it fails, restore my backup. This is for the issue I posted in my "XP Pro. You should do this before any major step, whether or not you hope to solve problems with it. Still, I'm not at all optimistic that this will solve your problems. But good luck. I hope I'm wrong, and it solves them. > Plus, this is a SP so a big upgrade. If it fails, restore my backup. > This is for the issue I posted in my "XP Pro.
