When sanning documents or pictures the multiple choice field 'destination' is blanked, so I can't fill in the destination of my scanned document.

I can start scanning, scanning has been done but at the end of course get an error message saying 'destination unknown'.

Did do a new driver install > same result

Anybody can help ?

This could be a compatability issue with the HP software and Windows XP. You may have to scan from a different program such as paint. Look at this link, I Can't Scan in Windows Using HP Software, for a workaround.

You could also try the HP Scan Diagnostic Utility.

This happens due to lack of needed drivers. You need to visit hp.com and find the needed drivers, install them and try to scan. if the printer is in sleep mode, turn it off and restart you printer. i was also facing the same problem with my printer. I just reinstalled the drivers and restarted the printer. Thats it.. It was working fine. Hope this will work for you as well.
