Hi all,

Been having problem with pc the past week, every time i boot up, i have to take side panel off and press the power on switch on the motherboard. System seems slower than usual as well. I have done searches on the internet to try and sort the problem but i am at a loss. Also there is no harddrive light on, on the front case there is normally 2, one stays on the other flashes, but no lights wat so ever. I have done harddrive test and they are both fine.

My PC Specs are:

MB: P6X58D Premium

CPU: Intel Core i7 2.8

Mem: 12gb

2x HD: Hitachi 1tb HDS72101 running Raid0

Sound: Creative SB X-Fi

PSU: 850w

Windows 7 64bit

Was wondering if anyone had come across this problem.

Thanks Sharon

Hi Sharon and welcome to ExTS :)

The manual for your m/board is here: (if you don't have it)

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1366/P6X58D_Premium/#download

Scroll down to the bottom of the list of options for the English version.

I am thinking that it may be something to do with the Power Settings in the BIOS ( see chapter 3.7 )

You can reset the BIOS to defaults by removing the CMOS battery for 1 minute and replacing.

(I assume that you have no specific BIOS requirements other than standard settings ? )

Let me know if this helps.
