Guest Man T Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Recently Windows Security Alerts always appear on system tray. I right click it and select 'Open Security Centre' and tried to press 'Turn on Automatic Updates'. However, the Automatic Updates is still OFF. It seems my PC has malware on it.

Do as PA Bear suggested and get guided help at one of the specialty forums he listed. Your computer is still infected. Please do not post any logs here in the MS newsgroups. If you don't want to get guided help, you have the choice of either backing up your data and clean-installing Windows or taking the machine to a local computer professional (who may need to clean-install Windows anyway). I don't suggest using a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! FAQ - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ

HijackThis is simply a tool used by experts to help diagnose and fix the infections (and I can assure you there's more than Vundo).
