KenB Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 I don't use btinternet but did find this: Go to your BT Homepage > log on > click on 'mail' > click on the 'contact' tab. There you will see import / export at the top right hand corner of the page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see 'Export' and 'Choose the program you want to export to and click the corresponding button. If you are unsure at this stage let me know what is listed under the "Export" options. I used to have a chap who helped me on pcs, and I wrote down somethings for future refferences and I have come across this but I think maybe something missing from it. Maybe you can have a look and let me know what I have suppose to do at the end of this. Save Contacts. Click FILE - then EXPORT - click on ADDRESS BOOK - then TEXT - then FILE and then EXPORT then BROWSE - click MY DOCUMENTS - then type in CONTACTS. I have tried all of this but not sure what is wrong with it seems must be more to it perhaps . . . Quote
GRANDAD Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Hi again, i think? that you would have to create a file in your documents first and name it say -' MY CONTACTS.' Then go through your list but at the last stage open this file, my contacts, and transfer your address book. I would create the file in my documents first then open my email click on CONTACTS then in edit click 'select all'-they should be highlighted, then in edit click copy--go to your MY DOCUMENTS open the file you created -MY CONTACTS-then click paste. Hope it works for you, i use OFFICE OUTLOOK and this may be long winded but works for me. Good luck or get back to me via the private message i sent--regards. Quote

GRANDAD Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Hi RL, I take your point, however as i do not use BT's email service i thought it would be better to try to talk through trying to save johnnyreb's contacts, ie whats in a drop down box and what shows up on his screen??. A positive result would be posted as to the outcome. At this time there is little feed back from anyone using this service. Just trying to help. Quote
