Hi all,

Not sure this is workable but appreaciate your input.

I need to replace an old file/print server, so, will get a new server,

install windows 2003 server and join to existing AD. Now, can I use NTbackup

to backup all the file/folders in old server and restore it in new server so

that I dont have to assign all the file/folders permission? If not, any

alternative to do it bcos the data to move over is huge!

Thanks in adv.

Hello Frodo,

Robocopy from the resource kit tools can copy all data including the security

to the new machine.
