Hi hope someone can help, having been away for two weeks I came home switched on the PC only to have problems to get the thing to actually boot up. When i finally got into my screen after a short time I was booted from the system an would not allow me to go back in. I am getting an error message saying that the login file is 'missing' or 'corrupt' an if we have the windows disk put it in an follow instructions. Having done this it wants to work goes through the motions an then reverts back to 'missing or corrupt file'. Hubby uses it for work an it is vital we get the info off it. It makes all the right sounds but cant get into windows screens at all. Anyone any ideas or do I start digging a grave?? :(

Hi

Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

What version of windows is this?

What is the exact error message or file name that is missing or corrupt?
