Web Mail or Client Mail

I'm using Windows XP and AT&T Web Mail. A few minutes ago I clicked on

Internet Options/Program tab. I noticed in the E-mail: line "Microsoft

Outlook."

My question is: Would there be any advantage in setting up Outlook Express?

Does a Client Mail program have benefits that Web Mail does not have?

My second question is: If I stay with Web Mail, should I change that line in

the Internet Options/Program tab? The dropdown menu has several options, none

of which seem appropriate - Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, Windows Live Mail.

Should I just type in AT&T Mail or leave well enough alone?

My personal view is that an E-client (Outlook Express, Outlook, or any

of many other choices) is a *much* better way to read and send E-mail

than a web-based client.

I am glad to have web-mail available for my E-mail, but I use it only

when traveling and using a public computer. Every time I do it, I am

reminded of how slow and clunky, and poor a choice is it.

But my preferences shouldn't matter to you. Try it for yourself and

make your own decisions.

Easier, simpler, faster, automatic log on. Etcetera.

Leave it alone. You can't type in things anyway, just select one that is

already available to you from the list.
