Guest aag Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Every time I try to restore to an earlier date, I get a message that it was unable to restorew to the chosen date (point). I removed all existing points and created one for the installation of AOL - I typed in "AOL" since the date didn't work. It still was unable to restore to the selected date (point). Is there a way to set a restore point that will work? -- aag
Guest db.·.. > Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Re: restore points you might try reviewing your settings for how much space you have allocated for making restore points. there is a slider you can move to increase or decrease the percentage to reserve. also, you might try to restore the system via safemode instead of normal mode. -- db·´¯`·...¸><)))º> "aag" <aag@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D2F82553-1D37-43E5-A585-0B7B0EB450EF@microsoft.com... > Every time I try to restore to an earlier date, I get a message that it was > unable to restorew to the chosen date (point). If so then you need to disable scanning, also if you have Norton you'll need to disable protection for the Norton product. HTH, Edna.
