[PLAIN]Need Expert in the know! >> This is fresh Post, from a few threadsbelow [---don't read--- Question For Group .... see why][/PLAIN]

hi gang!

some REAL hateful pig posted some real nasty crap under my other

message, which will make you ill and want to run away from me if you

read it!

please don't look at my other thread, posted very recently from the

timestamp on this one: Question for group, modding Windows Vista

Ultimate (& XP if possible too)

...... which i have promptly removed my top post from and placed it

here. hopefully someone will get rid of that useless message

posted.

thank you for your time all you kind gentlemen (and women too). i am

sure 99.9% of people are non-abusers of the English language.... and

we don't like it when people use the word to cause such negative

influence. i am just 22, but never surprised what i find out there on

the net from people with sick minds with lots of things spinning in

it! hehe.

let's start fresh

Hi!

I have several machines (about 27) I manage in a neat workstation

config I put together all by myself! I am so proud... still undergoing

testing, and it is almost perfect. It runs across three floors, work

rooms, and private rooms in a youth hostel I manage. I am working on

building a completely Vista based system eventually... but now it is a

hybrid Windows XP & Vista system.... (Vista Ultimate all the way

baby! Vista is very awesome and I love it! I miss some of the way XP

worked, but it takes some time to get used to.... I am evolving) I am

kinda a tech-geekees in terms of tinkering with my machines!, ... so,

gulp, here goes my novice question, soory for the rambling:

I am looking for a very simple but elegant solution here.... My

question is fairly straight-forward.... but I am information

overloaded here with lots of options, ... I just need some straight

answers by people in the know. I know there are some third-party

tools, and tweak programs that may do this (what I am asking for

below).... but I am looking for a native way I can implement this

myself, in the registry shell, or some way in start-up..... so I don't

have to install third-party programs. Trying to keep it clean &

simple, except for Microsoft.... so any aspect of making adjustments

to the os's is something I am capable of doing at any programmatic

level...., and I want to do that. I should grasp anything, pretty

quick, no matter how difficult to implement (I think I can at least).

So, my question is

*) Is there some like registry setting I can set ON and OFF, which

will inhibit *all* desktop notifications Windows might ever express?

In other words,

unless one clicks a window to open something up, like a Browser ....

nothing would automatically spawn a new window or dialog box,

regardless of what it may be or what windows is

choreographing !.....

-----

I am developing a 100% in-house system of systems, ... and I want to

fool around with some special modes I have in mind, in a uber scripted

system I am envisioning. The reason why I ask for the ON and OFF

capability, is I want to run a script to change modes of all the

machines.... where sometimes we have all of the machines very quiet,

and sometimes running normal. Anyway.... getting off track here....

but Hopefully someone can guide me with a way I can modify Windows

without tools/apps to do this trick....., where I don't need to use a

third-party tool to achieve the goal INO. :)

Please help if you know I can specifically do this! BTW, I am hoping

for a dual XP & Vista solution since I will be running XP for a LONG

time until I can upgrade them.

So, I posted it to XP group if any one is a expert I would like to

hear from you

You can reach me at wish...@googlemail.com

Thank you!!!!!!!! :D

Best wishes, Angie
