Folders: Filmstrip view not always available

On certain folders on both my hard drives, the Filmstrip view is not

available in My Pictures. I checked the Windows Help and Support and it said

to choose "Show common tasks in folders" under Tools > Folder Options >

General tab. However, that option is already chosen. It's weird because

every once in a while, the Filmstrip view does not appear whereas all other

times it does. Thanks for any help!

Hello,

 

I found the answer to my own question after posting:

 

Right click folder in question.

Choose Properties.

Choose Customize tab.

Under "What kind of folder do you want?" choose Pictures or Photo Album.

Works!
