server is showing error message 'The File is to deep' every time my users is

pasting files on the server.

 

windows 2003 sp2

 

why ?

What is the path you're trying to save it to - or from?

Maybe the complete file/folder lenght is over 255 characters?

Ask them to paste the files in the shallow end of the server.

How large is the file?

What OS are the clients?

Does it happen to every file or every user or certain ones?

I also came across this link:

It indicates a possibly issue with NetBIOS disabled or the client's IP

config maybe incorrect. Can you post an ipconfig /all from the server and

the client that is having the issue please?

I have experienced similar issue and will refer to Meinolf Weber's post as
