RandyL Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 That is strange. By any chance is it in a zipped or compressed folder? Quote We are all members helping other members. Mag476 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 (edited) Does the .pdf file have an acrobat icon? it sounds like a file association problem, try right clicking on it > Open With > Choose Default Program then browse to your Adobe Acrobat Reader installation folder and select the acrobat.exe file. If you are unsure where the installation folder is, find your Adobe Acrobat shortcut (on your desktop?) right click on it and open file location, then click in the address bar at the top and copy the path in that box, then paste it in the browse box under the Choose Default Program option as mentioned above. Then try double clicking on the .pdf file again. If that does not work i'd recommend uninstalling Acrobat Reader and reinstalling the latest version which is now 10.1.1 I believe, or if you would just like a quick clutterless pdf viewer you can install Sumatra PDF 1.8 I would recommend this program.
