Desktop Shortcuts are Re-arranged

I have my desktop shortcuts arranged into what I consider logical groupings.

Occasionally many of the shortcuts get moved around, disturbing my groupings

(and me as well). I think this happens when an application adds a shortcut to

the desktop programmatically -- as opposed to my adding a new shortcut

manually.

Is there a desktop property that I can tweak to keep this from happening?

TIA,

Phil

Thanks for your reply, Rey.

The tweak you suggest works just fine!

RE: Desktop Shortcuts are Re-arranged

Thanks for you reply, Jake.

I don't have "auto arrange" selected, but thanks for suggesting that

possibility. I didn't even know there was such an option.
