Pozzouk Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) Some things are just impossible to fixJeez - I'm wondering whether i'd be better off going for a completely new system? Problem is, it took years to get this one to behave in a predictable manner - it's such a shame, as the ironing and cooking chips work so well, if only i could do something about the on-board TV malfunction! It's so depressing - but thanks for the sympathy Starbuck. A problem shared........... Pozzouk. Edited October 7, 2011 by Pozzouk Quote
KenB Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I can see J-B having something to say on the way this thread is going ..........and it will not be pleasant. http://planetsmilies.net/angry-smiley-184.gif Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Pozzouk Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 it will not be pleasant Thanks for the warning Ken - I've had the tin hat on for days expecting a bombardment from the feminist's on this list. I can only presume that i have their quiet sympathy! For the time being I'm considering a defrag and a memory upgrade - maybe that will bring her to her senses? Running out of options Pozzouk. Quote

Pozzouk Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) it will not be pleasant I'm sure there are those that may have considered that i was being deliberately provocative. The truth is, the "Soap Plague condition" seems worse than a passing virus - more of a life long registry error!!! That for some reason females seem to be more prone to than men??? Thus far no help or advice has come to hand - the worry is that i think the kids are going down with symptoms ;o(( Must have a Google and see if there are any anti-virals available. If only the "Wife Program" was as easy to fix as a Re-install of Windows. Thank goodness for Iplayer on the PC Pozzouk. Edited October 19, 2011 by Pozzouk Quote
Plastic Nev Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 You could try the "Lets go for a meal out" program about twenty minutes before East Enders starts, be warned it can be expensive!! However if you get the "After East Enders" reply, forget it. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Pozzouk Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 be warned it can be expensive!! Morning Nev, do i get the impression that your household has been cursed by the same affliction? It is just so sad that the carriers of this condition don't realise the effect all that screaming and shouting has on those around them! This truly is a devastating addiction. I've tried everything - initially she would save endless episodes on Video tape, then it moved onto DVD's. Now i am at a total loss, as i find evidence of her cravings on the PVR and the HD Box - where will it end - if i got rid of the lot she would be onto iPlayer...........i fear there is no cure!?!?!? Thanks for the help Nev - they say a problem shared is a problem halved. Pozzouk. Quote
