Guest MarcusB Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 We had Hyper-V RC1 with 2 Virtual machines. We updated to Hyper-V RTM yesterday. All old VM are working but I can not start a new one. After creating new Virtual Machine when we try to start it we are getting error: "An error accurred while attempting to change the state of virtual machine Filed to create memory contents" Any suggestions? Guest MarcusB Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Re: Hyper-V can not start new VM Yes I followed the instruction. I installed KB950050, but there is nothing about patches. The old VM are working, I can not add the new ones (start) MarcusB Meinolf Weber wrote: > Hello MarcusB, > > Did you follow this steps also with all additional patches? > http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/hyperv-install.aspx > > Best regards > > Meinolf Weber > Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and > confers no rights. > ** Please do NOT email, only reply to Newsgroups > ** HELP us help YOU!!! http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm > >> We had Hyper-V RC1 with 2 Virtual machines. Guest MarcusB Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Re: Hyper-V can not start new VM I tried to create new VM in default folders on drive C and than it works, but if I create VM on the same drive where my old VM are than I can not start new virtual machines, and I am geting the error I described. It seems that Hyper-v can not create or write to files or folders, but it could before update. I checked the rights and I can not figure out why is like this. Guest MarcusB Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Re: Hyper-V can not start new VM The problem solved.
