Hi,

I have Windows XP professional SP2 on my Dell D510 laptop and I often use

the provided defargment to defrag my hard disk. After defragmentation, it

shows a report with a list of files that are still fragmented and the number

of fragments. It shows some ridiculous numbers as follows:

Fragments File Size File Name

------------- ---------- ------------

326 24 KB ntuser.dat.log

263 8 KB system.LOG

..

..

..

How can a 24KB file have 325 fragments? How can an 8KB file have 263

fragments?

I have a screenshot of the report but there is no option here to upload the

same.

If it is a bug, how can I report the same?

Thanks & Regards,

Uttam

RE: Defrag Report

Well NtUser.dat is basically the registry so it's not really a stardard file

and has many hives etc dotn mess with it whatever you do.

Im guessing this is pretty standard for the registry - if it was broke im

sure you'd know :)
