Hi there I recently bought a ATI RADEON x1900xt pci 512mb graphics card, my problem is I can't seem to get it to run, well it dose run but the display is all

pix-elated and have lines going across the screen.

I have made sure it is fully connected also made sure the power from the PSU is also connected and it still dose this.

My system specs are,

Motherboard

Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2P Intel G41 Express Socket 775 Motherboard

Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2P, Intel G41, S 775 , DDR3, SATA II - 3Gb/s, PCIe (x16), Graphics On Board, Micro ATX

RAM

Corsair Memory XMS3 Classic 4GB DDR3 1333 Mhz CAS 9 Dual Channel Desktop

TW3X4G1333C9A - 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair DDR3 XMS3 Classic, PC3-10666 (1333), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, 1.50V

Power supply is a ATX-500- 500w

Running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 with a Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06-3.07GHz

All the drivers are up to date, the display is fine using the on-board video card, what happens with the ATI is the system boots up then the display go's all pix-elated and get lines going down the screen, it boots up as far as the log on screen then i get a blue screen and the system shuts down.

I can't see what the message it either because the screen is all pix-elated.

Any help would be appreciated as I want to get this card working.

pc crashed and got blue screen

Can you post the Blue Screen STOP error please - if it happens again.

ps - I don't download posted files from forums

Can you copy and paste the latest mini-dump? (it may or may not be of some use)

If the AMD instructions were followed and you are getting Blue Screens I would suspect the Video Card itself.

Lets see what the STOP error says.

Do you have a different Video Card to try in the slot?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
