KenB Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Hi Sina and welcome to ExTS I have split your post from the other thread. You will be much better having one all to yourself :) Can you give us some more details of your problem please? Have you replaced the battery with a genuine replacement part ? What is the make and model number of your laptop ? Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Sina_Zero Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Hi and thanks fr your support; - Well when my Laptop were off (Shutdown) I disconnect the battery from it once to check it, after that..I put the Battery inside and locked it, I had lost my back-ups so I went to the Sony e-Support and DL its drivers, After installing its DLed drivers I restart the system, then I see this message, now I'm running the Notebook without Battery. I didn't find this ISB Utility inside the Control panel's Program Remover... - I searched the Laptop Crate, but I didn't find any kinds of driver at all. I jus disconnect the battery then put it away and locked it again. - My LT model is "Sony VAIO : vpccw21fx" Thanks for your support again With best regards Sina - Quote
KenB Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 With the battery in place - what is the exact error message you are getting ? Is the battery a Sony battery or is it a replacement ? Sina_Zero Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 The message is about that the battery is not Compatible and I need to press the "ok" to Hibernate and reinsert the battery... And my battery is the original battery that was inside the Laptop box when I bought it...It's not a replacement... I did everything I could but I couldn't risk the Laptop too, so I prefer to ask :S Quote
KenB Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi, Locate ISBMgr.exe and rename it to oldISBMgr.exe ( the name doesn't really matter as long as it is different ) It may be found here ......C:\Program Files\sony\isb utility\ Alternatively : Start > in the run box type isbmgr.exe .....ENTER This will locate it on your system ( if it is there ) Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Plastic Nev Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi Sina, also from what you are saying I understand that you removed the battery for storage, how long was the laptop without its battery? Bios may now have reset to default which could be the source of the problem. Ken may know more about that though. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help.
