Hello to everyone, its my first post and I'm a bit of a technophobe...no...actually I'm a lot of a technophobe:oI really hope someone can help me as its really bugging me now.

I fitted a new PSU on Friday but now have no sound....would it be possible that I have wired it up wrong on the inside(is that possible?)

TIA

Hi and welcome to ExTS

would it be possible that I have wired it up wrong

Unlikely.

Do you have a sound card fitted to a slot on the motherboard ?

If so - take it out and re-seat it.

You may have disturbed it when you were fitting the PSU.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

Well....I would like to say it was soooo technical that I couldn't begin to answer....but alas thats not the case.

There are two sets of ports with a pink hole and unfortunately I had the jacks in the wrong set, I was afraid if I tried loads of different ports I might do some damage, but now I know that trial and error is key to tinkering lol

Hi,

unfortunately I had the jacks in the wrong set

You are not the first - and will certainly not be the last to use the wrong jack socket :)

Thanks for the feedback.

Haha, it's happened to us all at some point even though most will not admit it. Glad you figured it out. :D
